Stephjoy schools were started through God’s call to mould the character of young people to create awareness that knowledge acquisition through going to school and getting serious is mandatory as far as God is concerned. Hosea 4:6 “My people perish for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priest because you have ignored the law of your God, I also ignore your Children.”
Stephjoy Schools started in the year 2002 in Kangemi on a ¼ acre plot with only 4 students. Out of the 4, only one managed to pay. By the end of the year 2002, they were 9 and only 5 managed to pay school fees.
By the end of the year 2003, God gave us a total of 64 students and the school grew so fast. The academic counselling that mrs. Joyce Mugambi used to give to students made the school grow so fast for students used to understand the purpose of their going to school.
Stephjoy Boys was started in 2014 to take care of the seed and the growth has been great. The vision carrier, Mrs. Joyce Mugambi, is gifted to speak about the value of men and this has brought in growth for the boychild.
